Chats

Message boards sometimes have chat features attached to the boards; check individually for any scheduled chats.

Please note that I have not personally been in all the chats listed below. The ones with asterisks I have been a member of for a while. For the others, caveat non-hominum.

Discord

**Mythcord - 18+. For mythic otherkin (mythfolk), theriomythics, and mythically inclined therians.

**Otherkin.net - 13+. Official server of Otherkin.net (naw, really?). Very broad general server for any kind of otherkin or therians.

**Forestkind - 13+. For fae, elves, witches, and other "forest kind". See info post on Tumblr.

**Treehouse Fellowship - 13+. Disboard listing: "A Non-RP Elf-centric safe space for Elfkins, Faekins, Faerykins, similar Otherkins, kinsidering beings, and supporters of aforementioned identities. Elves and other beings from any origin are welcome here. We focus on magic, nature, the arts, and anything that pleases our hearts." See also treehousefellowship.

**The Shimmering Wood - 18+. Aimed at mythfolk; elfae are a good percentage of the population, but the server isn't explicitly focused on them. Tries to maintain a vibe of being an enchanted forest. See info post on Tumblr.

**Circle of the Fae - 18+. "This is a warm and cozy community for everyone who identifies as or associates themselves with the fae to discuss all sorts of things related to them. We are a fae-focused community, but everyone who is interested is welcome to join and engage!"

**Otherkin Wiki - 13+. Official server of the Otherkin Wiki, hosted on Miraheze. Discussion of wiki articles, research, editing, and moving the wiki off of Fandom.com (see this Reddit post for more about that last one).

**The Celestial Spire - 18+. For dragons/draconics, including system members.

**Dragon's Cove - 13+. For dragons/draconics only. Other types are asked to find a different community.

Oceanic Sanctuary - 18+. Disboard listing: "We are a server dedicated to merfolk kin and to systems who have merfolk headmates. We also welcome all other types of ocean related kins and headmates. It is designed to be a laid back community to make like-minded friends and a place to share all your merfolk thoughts!"

Angelkin/Metaphysics - (Age limit unknown) For angels, demons, fallen, and discussion of general metaphysics. Message leviakiin or wirsindkrieg for an invite code.

Alterhuman Book Club - 16+. Read and discuss books from an alterhuman perspective. See also alterhuman-book-club.

Eurokin - 16+. For otherkin, therians, otherhearted, other-linkers, fictionkin, and alterhumans in Europe. Info post in the Dreamwidth otherkin community (must be a member of the communuity to view).

IRC

To log on to IRC networks and join #channels, you usually need an IRC client program, such as mIRC, KVirc, XChat, or the ChatZilla extension for Firefox. Some channels also have a web interface or use Mibbit in a web browser. Please note that this section may not be current as I haven't updated it in a while (probably several years as of August 2024).
