A Feywine Enchantment

see through the veil
and truth in the sight
inner gates open
and let in the night
greensilver glamourlight
sparkle inside
ultrablueviolet
and starlight abide

Faerie Call

Fair Folk, Fey Folk, Daoine Sidhe,
I invite the Seelie to join with me!
Tylwyth Teg, Tuatha, Elves,
Enter my life and show yourselves!
Pixies, Brownies, Ferrishyn
All are welcome, do come in!
Fenoderee and Ellyllon,
Undines, Sylphs and Leprechaun,
Dryads, Gnomes, and Plant Annwn,
I hope that I may see you soon!
Mother's Blessing, Devas, Sprites,
Show yourselves in dancing lights.
Come, Good Neighbours, Gentry, Fays,
Bring glamour to my nights and days.
I've wine and cakes and cream for all,
For all the fey that hear my call!
Abide with me, O Seelie Court,
And we'll have ourselves a merry sport.
Fauns and Satyrs, Nymphs and Fae,
Come along the Silver Way.
Green Children, you are welcome here,
Please join me now and have no fear!

Balefire Blessing

I light the fire of Faerie on the hearth
The Balefire burns, and glamour glows
And glamour flows, it flows
As the Waters of Life from the Black Well
Which shimmers in the light
Of the Tree of Stars
And stars deep in eyes
Alight with the fire of Faerie.

Faerie Dust Blessing

Starlight, sunset, and full moon's glow
Enchant this dust that all may know
The power of glamour & faerie light
That lies in this time 'twixt day and night

Stardust Blessing

Stars on earth, stars in heaven
Faerie star of sacred seven
Shining blood, silver bone
Endless sky my spirit's home
Stars above, stars below
Stars' own kin I am, I know
Majik shed from starlit lands
Stardust I hold in my hands.

Shadowdust Blessing

The spectra in darkling rainbows be upon thee
The lust in wine and blood be upon thee
The song in finespun starlight be upon thee
The shadows in trees and towers be upon thee
The essence of all the Night be now within thee.

Hearth Welcome

An invocation for opening a hearth at which to welcome the folk to gather, whether temporary as at an event, or permanent as in one's own home or freehold. Ideally it would be said over a physical fire or candle flame... but as it happens, so far I've only had the chance to use it over electric votives in the hotel room at PantheaCon in 2018-2020 and at the virtual event Shining Hearth in 2021!

A hearth for those of mythic heart
Fae-born, Elf-souled, from Otherworld,
Of dragons' power, angels' grace,
Chimaeric beasts of eld,
Shifting folk of fur and tail,
Spirits of the living Green,
Of shadows or celestial light,
Tribe of Danu, Aes Sidhe--

A hearth:
For those who walk 'midst humankind
Oft times unseen, sometimes ill used,
Who know they are of Other kind;
And for such friends as they may choose--

A hearth:
Where may enchanted mead be drunk
In sparkling light of Under-Hill
And peace beneath the stars be found
For those who enter with good will.

Shine forth the ancient Dreaming of the Earth!
Be lit the hearth!

Faefire, Flame!

Written in 2021 for Shining Hearth, directly following the Welcome above in the opening ceremonies, but could also stand alone as a herthflame invocation.

Hearthfire, homefire,
Brightfire, Greenfire,
Whitefire, Nightfire,
Purefire, Flame!
Goldfire, Moonfire,
Truefire, Eldfire,
Dreamfire, Starfire
Faefire, Flame!

Hearth Closing

Written about a year after the Welcome above, and of course meant to be used as a corresponding ending when the event is over (if applicable).

Now let the mythic flame be banked
And all you fair folk here be thanked
For your presence on this night
And blessed by gleams of glamourlight:

You Fae and Elves, you dragons strong
You angels of the heavens' throng
Fantastic beasts and folk of fur,
Souls of Nature green and pure,

Elementals, shadows, wights
Of land and sea and starry heights,
Alfar folk, Tuatha De,
And human friends who came to play--

You must go forth, but take with you
The spark of majik, shining true
To re-enchant the world outside
And in your heart-place to abide.

Sweet song enfolds the Dreaming of the Earth!
Now sleeps the hearth!

Alternate version of the first verse, written for Shining Hearth in 2021. Faery lore says that the Gentry don't like to be thanked, sometimes in any form but especially with the words "thank you", so I thought I would try to omit the "thanking" that's in the original:

Now the mythic flame burns low
And forth you fair folk all must go
But for your presence on this night
Be blessed by gleams of glamourlight: ...

General Opening/Closing Charms

These were used at Shining Hearth at the very beginning of the opening and end of the closing ceremonies. Standing alone, they would be a bit incomplete; they're more intended as a sort of tone-setting "Hear ye, hear ye" and final winding-up "That's all, folks", that would normally be followed/preceded by other material.

I call on the woods, winds, and waters;
I call on the sun, moon, and stars;
I call on the majik that flows through them all
and through all of us.

---

We honor the woods, winds, and waters;
We honor the sun, moon, and stars;
We honor the majik that flows through them all
and through all of us.
